The Metropolitan Atlanta Violence Prevention Partnership (MAVPP) serves to work toward creating an efficient violence prevention network of dedicated individuals and organizations across the metropolitan area to promote the health, safety, and well being of all people. This includes victims of violence such as women, youth, and underserved groups in the Atlanta area and communities. Commitment, perseverance and dedication are key attributes that allow the program to uphold their mission and help others.

The MAVPP makes every effort to fulfill its responsibilities to the community by focusing on its primary concerns which are reducing the following types of violence:

Child Maltreatment, Family, Elder Maltreatment, Gang, School, Sexual, Social, Street, Suicide, Workplace

While the MAVPP concentrates on these prevention priorities throughout the Metro-Atlanta area, its initial target areas include: Cobb, Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett County.
